Network Management and Measurements Workshop
The main focus of the workshop was on optimising campus network performance by regularly measuring key metrics such as latency, packet loss, jitter, bandwidth, and throughput. It focuses on the importance of detecting network bottlenecks, device overloading, and unusual behaviours and also the importance of maintaining a digital inventory of network devices, documenting cable infrastructure.
The workshop was organised for LEARN member institutes, online via Zoom for 4 days which was free of charge. The targeted group was Network/Systems engineers/operators and Teachers of data networking (one who deals with the campus network).
As an instructor, I had a session on installation of Request Tracker and usage of the tool.
